Topic: Unable to install Across on Windows 7 without SP1

Hello,
I'm trying to install Across on a computer running Windows 7.
When I try to run the Setup.exe file, I get an error message that says "You need a more recent version of Windows in order to use this program"
Looking at computer properties, I see that Service Pack 1 is not installed. Do you think that's what is causing the incompatibility?
I ask because I really dislike installing updates, haven't needed them until now, and wouldn't like to go through the whole trouble and risk of installing SP1 just to discover that it wasn't the problem with Access.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
Thanks a lot,
Rafael
